On-Site Product Photography Available
For your convenience, Jules Design offers on-site product photography. However, as our studio is better equipped to manage most projects, it is often more efficient to manage most assignments at our facility.
How is a typical Product Photo Session Executed?
We build a customized photo studio at your place of business. We then execute the photography session. Off-site, we colour correct the images, touch them up for imperfections in Photoshop, and we mask the images.
Masking is the process of tracing out the product shot. We mask images to remove the unwanted background. This is to overlay the image onto a pure white backdrop or other graphics for marketing design applications.
The Product Photography we provide is suitable for print, web, catalogues, most large format, and many other applications. Upon request, we Pantone colour match your product pictures.
Depending on the nature of the photography projects, Clients may request for on-site or in-studio service. Clients may also opt to supervise the photography process at Jules Design's East Toronto studio.
What type of Commercial Photography do you need?
Jules Design offers customized product shots. As your image needs may vary, so does our approach. The following are some of the commercial photography alternatives we offer:
Product Photography on White Photographing product on different white subtracts will have contrasting visual effects. Cloth, plastic, and paper are some of the materials we use to get different "looks". White backdrops are effective at projecting a minimalistic or clinical appearance. To achieve more drama, we use acrylic to get a natural reflection.
Product Photography on Black Acrylic Photographing product on black projects elegance. Jules Design uses a variety of dark substrates to give merchandise a prestigious appeal. Subject to the project, we may also use different lighting or Photoshop techniques to achieve contrasting visual effects.
Masked Images Product Photography For images that are intended for marketing collateral, request for standard masking. Masked images are traced out from the native shot to digitally superimpose onto other graphics. Masked images are visually descriptive, sharp and evenly illuminated.

Photographing Your Product Line... All of these items were photographed individually followed by reassembly in Photoshop. This method helps avoid unwanted product reflections from neighboring items. It also allows the camera to retain a tight focus on each individual product. Finally, items can be positioned in any number of montage configurations.
This image would not be possible with a wide-angle lens as it would simply warp the appearance of the individual products.This effect is achieved by tracing out (masking) each image after the photography session; a service provided by Jules Design.For more information contact us.
Tips to Keep the Product Photography costs low:
Product preparations such as product cleaning (wiping off dust), complex staging, colour matching, or significant Photoshop post-production work, is subject to additional costs. Requirements for Pantone Colour matching must be identified before the shoot or a surcharge may apply.
